Ömer Akdoğan

Ömer Akdoğan started to work in BDO Istanbul Office in 2022 and still works as BDO Türkiye Tax Partner.

He has professional experience in tax law and tax practices, company restructuring, tax inspections and tax disputes. In these areas, it provides services to companies and institutions operating in different sectors, mainly in the textile and retail sector.

He worked at the General Directorate of Customs between 1990-1993, as Tax Inspector at the Ministry of Finance between 1994-2011, and as Chief Tax Inspector at the Tax Inspection Board, Hidden Capital, Transfer Pricing and Overseas Earnings Group Directorate between 2011-2013 has served. During this period, he conducted tax inspections on large-scale companies operating in the manufacturing, construction, trade and service sectors with domestic and foreign capital. In addition, he served as the Deputy Chairman of the Tax Inspectors Board of the Ministry of Finance in 2007-2008, and as the Tax Audit Group Manager of the Izmir Tax Office between 2008-2010. In 2011, he worked abroad for 4 months in England to conduct research on transfer pricing practices. He served as the Financial Affairs Director at Boyner Holding A.Ş. between 2013-2021.
