İdris Şenyurt

After working as Associate Tax Auditor for a short time in 2002, he succeeded in the tax inspector’s exam held in the same year and started to work as a Tax Inspector. He worked at this position for about 9 years. During this period, he served as the Advisor to the Minister of Finance for 2 years. After getting his master’s degree abroad, he started to work as Strategy and Foreign Relations Coordinator at the Tax Inspection Board in November 2012. In January 2014, he was appointed as the Head of Group, and in March 2014, as the Head of Department at Turkish Revenue Administration. In April 2019, he was appointed as the Deputy Comissioner of Turkish Revenue Administration and Member of the Board of Directors of Sümer Holding, and continued until his resignation. In this process, he was elected as a Member of the Tax Council Executive Board in 2019 and as a member of the Tax Council in 2021, and these duties still continues.

During his career at Turkish Revenue Administration, he worked as an executive responsible for many issues such as personal and corporate income tax, tax procedure, value added tax, special consumption tax – international taxation, double tax treaties and other international agreements, transfer pricing and international exchange of information in particular. In this process, he participated in many international meetings, agreement negotiations, legal and secondary legislation studies. He also served as a member and chairman in ruling and reconciliation commissions.

In December 2021, he joined BDO Turkey as a tax partner. He also has Sworn-in Certified Public Accountant and Independent Auditor certificates.
