Görkem Erdoğdu joined BDO Türkiye in 2025. She began her professional career at PwC Türkiye within the Risk, Process and Technology Services practice and gained extensive consulting experience over more than 13 years at PwC, holding various roles and advancing to the position of Senior Manager.
At BDO Türkiye, Görkem Erdoğdu works in the field of Risk Governance and Compliance, providing advisory services to support organizations in establishing sustainable, integrated, and technology-enabled risk and control frameworks in line with corporate governance principles. Her work encompasses the design and maturity enhancement of enterprise risk management and internal control systems; the establishment, development, and quality assurance assessments of internal audit functions; business process analysis and the development of target operating models; the enhancement of compliance and fraud prevention frameworks; the implementation of whistleblowing mechanisms; and business continuity and crisis management. In these projects, she aims to integrate governance structures across all levels of the organization and transform them into long-term value-creating frameworks.
In addition, her core areas of expertise include the use of data analytics and artificial intelligence-based applications in internal audit, the implementation of continuous auditing and continuous control approaches, and the design of risk-focused audit and control structures within ERP systems—particularly in finance, supply chain, sales, and inventory processes. Her solutions in this scope include configuring ERP environments in line with control requirements, selecting and implementing GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) platforms and integrating them with existing systems, and developing audit scenarios supported by automation and data analytics.
Furthermore, she plays an active role in IT audits, the assessment of application and general IT controls, the management of technology risks, and the design of risk, control, and governance dimensions within digital transformation initiatives. She develops holistic approaches to ensure that technology investments are safeguarded from an audit and risk management perspective.
In addition to his consulting activities, Görkem Erdoğdu designs and delivers internal and external training programs in the areas of internal audit, risk management, internal control, IT audit, data analytics, and technology-enabled auditing. Through these digital transformation-focused efforts, she provides end-to-end solutions that help organizations enhance operational efficiency while advancing the maturity of their risk management and audit functions.
