Emrah Akın

Emrah Akın has joined to BDO Türkiye in 2022 as a tax partner.

He has started his career as an assistant inspector of finance at Turkish Ministry of Finance. On his government career path, he was appointed as a group director to the Ankara Tax Office and the advisor to the Economy Minister of Turkey.

After a long-term government sector career, he had joined to KPMG in January 2013 and promoted as tax partner. 

He has been involved in consultancy services regarding tax law and implementations more than 20 years. He is proficient in Income, Corporate, Value Added and Private Consumption Taxes. As a Tax Partner he has been providing tax advisory, corporate tax certification services & government investment incentives (investment incentives, R&D Centers, Turquality, Free Trade Zones) and specific government affairs advisory to international and local companies concerning Turkish tax laws, corporate taxation, government incentive legislations and specific government affairs issues.

He has been also holding the chair of the Taxation & Investment Incentives Working Group - International Investment Association (YASED) since May 2013.
